AMD 'e-Club' #0474
RideMaxx Bluetooth-enabled EFI controller
RIDEMAXX, from American Micro-Fuel Device Corp,
is a new EFI controller for Harley-Davidsons which features a wireless
remote control module.
The RideMaxx ECU module is a plug-and-play device which plugs into the ECU
under the bike's seat to communicate with the handlebar module. It is
supplied pre-loaded with power and fuel consumption maps. The power choice
provides an improvement of up to 15 percent in horsepower. The economy
choice offers long distance riders the preference to conserve fuel, and to
enjoy up to an added 25 miles per tank; while the automatic setting lets
RideMaxx alternate between the two settings, offering a live and seamless
power and performance improvement all around.
Changes to the settings are made through the use of a wireless remote
handlebar module that mounts onto any sized handlebars; the handlebar unit
has two buttons, power and economy, that allow the rider to change maps on
the fly, while they ride. The RideMaxx handlebar module is powered with a
standard battery, and communicates wirelessly with the ECU module for
instant changes on the fly.
RideMaxx comes equipped with Bluetooth enabled technologies, and offers
wireless tuning, data logging, and the ability to display bike information
on Bluetooth enabled devices - PDAs and computers. This technology allows
for wireless downloads of maps without any access to the unit itself, as
well as wireless access to fuel tables, and tuning on the fly.
RideMaxx is currently available for H-D Open Loop Touring models and Open
Loop Softail models. Systems for Closed Loop Touring models, Closed Loop
Softail models, Dyna, Sportster and V-Rod models will be available shortly.
